In Desperate need of Graphics/Logo :(

So I've been putting together a layout etc of my friend's new website he wanted which I said I could do no problem.

I'm definitely a novice, but I think what I put together isn't too bad so far. However, I have no experience with Photoshop etc so it's just plain text everywhere. The most appealing thing is the mouse over on my side bar

If someone could make a simple, yet appealing and professional header (possibly with a logo) I would be forever grateful. The dimensions needed would be 800x90. CAPS Training or C.A.P.S Training would be ideal (possibly with the abbreviated meaning below it), it's just typed out entirely to take up space at the moment

Here's a screen of what it is currently: http://img31.imageshack.us/img31/6764/homepag.png

If you have any other suggestions for the design/graphics, that would be great!

I don't know if you're still looking for artwork, but if you are I surely hope this helps...

Here's a customer banner, 800x90 (as specified):

And a custom logo, a 500x500 .png file with a transparent background, that you can re-size and use as you want:

I make no claims to copyright, but if you'd like to credit me, I'd appreciate it. My website (still under construction, but up and running soon) is dccreativestudios.com, and my e-mail is Doug@dccreativestudios.com.

If you have any problems downloading the graphics, please let me know and I'll send you the files via regular e-mail.

Awesome! I really like the design.

This is what it looks like right now: http://img12.imageshack.us/img12/1743/home1y.png

Not to be picky, but can you 'blend' it into that header color that stretches 100% of the page?

Also, do you have any other logo ideas you could run by me? To be honest, this reminds me of a sports team, which isn't necessarily that off base given what the site is about.

I would love to give you credit. However, it's not 'my' website, so I will ask the person I am doing the 'job' for.

Thanks again!

No worries, I understand. Probably the easiest way to make it work is to change the background color of your header to #57666b. That should have it blend in quite nicely.

Don't worry about the credit, it's fine. I enjoy doing these things because I can.

As far as other logo options, what did you have in mind? Can you give me some direction?

I like Marcel script/swash font (if I recall correctly).

With the site, you just need to make it more user friendly. Change the fonts to a sans serif font. Embedding video like that is usually a bit too much. Use an image maybe?

Holy heck, evo, I wouldn't have gotten that right if I hadn't made the logo myself. Way to nail the font on the first try.

I wasn't sure about the logo, but I suppose it works well enough for this purpose.
