PHP calculator is very easy, but it's not very user friendly since you have to re-load the page to get the results. I would use JavaScript for the calculator because it updates instantly without a page re-load.

What sort of calculator is it?

Ajax or jQuery would also be a good option for calculators because they don't need to reload the page to show the result.
