In this tutorial, we'll show you how to format a hard drive and the other steps you need to take when you add a fresh new hard drive to your Windows Vista or Windows 7 PC. Many thanks to you all. I have now managed to format my hard drive and my main Desktop is now OK. But I still have a problem with my New laptop. It has decided to re-arrange the icons on the desktop each time that I re-boot. Also at the same time the mouse has decided not to work. (Works fine on my other computers. Also other working mice do not work on the new laptop.)

Any ideas before I throw it back to DELL?

Where's that bead frame?

Does your computer have DOS? As i know, If you have, choose Dos
1. From the sceen of DOS text: Format c: /s
2. Restart Ctrl + Alt + Del
