Something as broad as effective logo design cannot be learned in a short time...
It takes practice in the programs, a good sense of creativity, and learning in general.
I've been doing graphic arts for almost a year now, and even now, I'm not a master of effective logo design...
I've been a graphic designer for going on 6 years now and I still can't always come up with a fantastic logo 100% of the time. I'd highly suggest hopping on Google like ApproachNet suggested and just getting some inspiration from a few different sources. Just don't copy any of them!
I'd also suggest maybe going to your local library and getting a few books on Logo Design, such as "Really Good Logos Explained"

LOGO is the trademark of company. It shows brand value of company. Effective logo design is not a short time process. You should be creative and have a good sense of color selection for making a logo to effective.
I am assuming you want to know how to make a logo design.
Simple, Youtube. You can learn to do just about anything under the sun on Youtube.
I find myself on there trying to find out how to do certain effects with flash and photoshop. Just do a simple search of what you want to do with the program you use.
keep in mind that a logo represents the image and idea of a company, project etc...
try to simplify the whole concept behind the componay/products, to a couple of basic shapes, and you have got yourself a good logo
To be a good logo designer you need to practice a lot. If you think about a shortcut you'll not be successful may be. After practicing regularly for a year you can make yourself a good designer. All you need to learn different designs from net and practice it lots.
I'd suggest that logo design isn't something that's going to be quick or easy especially considering it could be the foundation of your web site design. Search for as many other logos you can find, don't copy anything but use as inspiration!
You can only learn a little with actual learning. What you need to do to really learn is to indulge yourself in activities that involve logo design. You have to hone your creativity and focus on channeling a message across through logos. Make some logos and let experts critique your work.
