Internet Explorer embedded videos on websites

Ok, I have no experience embedding videos on websites. So I came here.

I have a video. In 3 different formats, depending on which one is best. .mp4 .avi and .mov

The site is written in ASP.net but the underlying pages are basically HTML.

I need to embed this video onto a page on the site using some code. And it needs to be able to be streamed fast. So any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Callum.W.K.

Are you streaming it from another site or are you actually embedding your own video?

LC.

I would suggest you to go with a third party video players like JWPlayer for example. http://www.longtailvideo.com/players/.

I have never embedded my own video, but have done from youtube and places like that. I'd suggest uploading to youtube and just streaming the video to your site. If not, check out the <embed> tag for HTML 5.

Regards,

LC.

The 3rd Party thing is okay... But I'm not sure how to use it really... Whilst I was away, I also had the idea of just using youtube, however, the video has a song that youtube picks up. So i can embed it from youtube. But it wont play on my site because of the music.

So I can't use youtube either.

As for the embed tag... I'll google it

So youtube plays a song when your video is on? Or the song is within the video itself?

Also, check this out for a little guidance on HTML5 videos: http://www.w3schools.com/html5/html5_video.asp

LC.
