Comment box without MySQL database???

Hi,
I am a "kid" and am fairly computer educated. I am currently making a website with notepad (note: I'm poor) and I wanted to make a comment box like the one in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CS45Y...eature=related
However the problem arises when I try to configure the MySQL database with my webserver provider (the person who hosts the site, I'm sorry if I don't know all the terms) and long story short, I cannot have a MySQL database. So my question is: is it possible to make that comment box (or a similar one) work without MySQL database, and just by copy/paste scripts, with only one to two more files to store all the comments? Any help would be spectacular! Anyone who helps deserves Icecream! Thank you in advance.

Hi there THENATHE,

The link for the youtube video is currently not showing, if you mean a comments box where visitors can leave comments regarding website content then there is plenty to use without needing a database, i like to use the facebook comments feature as it also helps retreiving new visitors to your site, if thats not for you then have a look on google there is lot to choose from -

just a small list of 3rd party comment systems which dont require a database, simply add the code to your site.

Hope this helps a little.

I will look into these, but, I would like something that does something along these lines: every time someone posts a comment to my page (lets call it page.html), it just adds the comment in to page.html instead of having to create a whole new document, or having to use a special thing like php and what have you (resources like flash and java are ok) and without having to use a MySQL database or any database for that matter. Is this possible?
