now i know nothing about hacking or coding etc. just did a little amount of VB (which i did not understand) in college while studying engineering. i know the above is in hexadecimal and the answer is not the ascii conversion and i doubt its binary/decimal/octal.

im thinking theres a hidden message behind it. the person who made this comp refuses to give any direct clues. all ive gotten from him is this:

"I'm an ethical hacker and I have knowledge of many many programming languages."
"My main speciality is C where I'm on an expert level I think. I also program more often in ASM but it's fairly difficult."

"You will know when you have found the answer, because it will just click literally. If you look at it and think twice whether it's correct or not then it's wrong."

does the last statement mean it possibly may be a website link?

ive just found out about MD5 and SHA1. ive tried using the internet to decode using MD5/SHA1 calculators but no luck. and they have limited characters so i dont think the original text was converted using such calculators otherwise the question wouldve been a string of 32/40 characters max. am i right to think this?

could someone help me decode this please, i dont know what to.. thats the problem. what is the original? is it text or random digits/letters/symbols?

Looks like you are on the right track.

The == on the end suggests that what you have there has simply been base 64 encoded. So the next step is to reverse that encoding.

But I will not give you the solution right away. You have to work a little.

Base64 decode it.
Reverse it.
Shift it by n characters.

Then it is up to you to find out what calue n must have
