My suggestion is to read the User Guide pdf. It is on the disc you use to install Photshop. It has pretty much everything you need to know to slice up any image you make. There are not many free advanced tutorials out there that I have come across. Most are just basic skills.

Do you have links to any sites as example of what you want to do?

Do a search for "pixel art" and you might find something real close.

It is an image that has been made and sliced up.

If you have Netscape 7, choose File > Save Page As > Complete Web Page. It will save an images file so you can look at it and see all the various slices.

It is all done in layers to begin with. Then sliced and saved as a table in the output settings. I do not know of where a tutorial exist for this but some of the pixel art ones I have seen are very similar.
