There are many types of programming courses. It depends on the person that what he finds best for himself. Basically a programming language can be learned through C, C++, FORTRAN etc. these programming languages have different significations. C++ is an upgraded version of C and other than that a person learning this language has greater scope as this language is also implemented in Java.

Well, the answer is not so easy. There are a lot of courses for this. But at first you have to prepare yourself for this role, have to know some basics and off course have to read a lot about it. Well, I would suggest you to read some articles on the web. I have seen here some valuable information here : http://www.techyv.com/article/comput...ing-approaches

practice, practice and lots of practice will make you a good programmer. Focus on the logic irrespective of the language syntax.

Spookster will become famous soon enough
To be good in this field stop focusing on the languages so much. They are just the tools we use. You should focus on programming concepts and problem solving. That is what this field is about. If I learn how to use all the tools used in building a house will I be able to build a house? Probably not, or best case I would build one that would fall down. Same goes for programming. If you just go learn all the languages it doesn't mean you will know how to write software. Most likely you will create software that is poorly written and crashes.

I second what Spookster said.

In addition: the programmer's competency matrix has proved itself invaluable to me.
