Can I convert pdf documents into word just using adobe?

I'm writting my paper and need to extract some paragraph out of pdf materials, but the pdf can not be copied, so I need to convert them to word so that I can edit the text. They said pdf can be saved as word document using adobe so I don’t have to use another tool, but I have no idea how to operate it, there seems no a button to click to change the format? Anyone have the experience? Thanks so much!!

It can be done using Adobe Acrobat - you can even just hit the text touchup button and select the paragraphs you want and copy them straight out of the PDF (if the PDF isn't password protected or if you know the password).

It can't be done with Adobe reader because that is just a reader not an editor.

For all these reasons Adobe has provided the facility of transforming the images into the codes so that the user can then use it wherever applicable. Other than that I am not sure but HTML5 also provides the same facility, however it is still not widely used.

Adobe has many different programs to use. For PDF, there are Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat.

Adobe Reader is for viewing PDF files.
Adobe Acrobat is for editing PDF files.

So, if you want to convert PDF documents into word using Adobe, you should use Adobe Acrobat. (it has free trial time)

Otherwise, you can use some other tools to convert PDF to Word. There are both online pdf to word converter and desktop software. Here is a review on some pdf to word converters.

There are number of ad ons available for this work but not adobe reader do this work but you can easily convert pdf to word or image using simple extensions you can install in your browser.
