where to resize an image

Does anybody know of where I can re-size an image (either enlarge it or make it smaller)?

I used to use the following site: http://www.imagemagick.org but they have now changed their homepage and I don't know if they still have that service.

It would be for JPEGS only.

Thanks,
Brit

Looks like all you have to do is download imagemajick and you are all set.

Hmm, if you download ACDSee 32 (the one released for free, and the best overall image viewer on PC), you can use it to resize images. Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro can also do it, but they're not free...

The problem when resizing images is how to handle the size increase/decrease. A web browser would only cut away or add pixels, thus not making a very good end product. The other graphics handlers have other methods, which are smother but somewhat blurrier. ACDSee has a pretty good resizing method, but Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro have the best. (Together with many other graphics editing programs)

Thanks for that...

Is there another link? I just clicked on it, I think the site is down or something.

Thanks,
Brit

It is a direct link to a download. It worked for me. When you click on thelink you should get the download manager or some window that asks about saving a file to your disk.

I had some problems reaching acdsystems.com when I was looking for that link, so it might be that they have server problems. It worked after a few tries, however.
