Accidentally deleted access.log file

Hi,

I'm newbie to website administration. The previous developer just asked me to clear the content in the access.log, error.log and PHP_error.log once a month so that the file doesn't get bigger and bigger. But just now I accidentally deleted the access.log file

Could someone help me on how to restore it or maybe can I just create a new access.log file? Does the access data will be logged in that new file as usual? And what is the effect on my website?

Please help me. Thank you

Just restart apache. The access.log should appear again.
Only thing you've done is lost records of access. You can check recycling of course to see if its there, but if its deleted you'll need a restore from backup media.
