youtube video views promise, is this legit?

this person is promising 800 unique views of a youtube video: http://fiverr.com/youtubeman420/give...ews-in-10-days

i'm assuming that the more views your video gets, the more search-engine-friendly it becomes.

how does this person do it? is there a catch i should be concerned about? do search engines know and consider it black hat?

please advise. thanks in advance.

yea ... they hire some company in the Middle East that has a room full of
spammers that will visit any website and click on things. You'll easily get
800 of them to view the video. Those are the same people that register,
login, and spam forums like this one. I assume they get paid 25 cents an hour,
but there are probably 100's lined-up to have that job.

thanks for the insight. that being said, if it is live people and not automated, is it something worth pursuing to get my views up?

No, because you're wasting your money.
Ask them how much they charge ... you'll get your answer.

Wow thats a nickel a person! They must REALLY need that job! lol

I do have to question whether there are indeed "live" ppl clicking the links/videos, rather than some automated program.

I'm sure there are automated programs, but I know for a fact, from a person
who used to work in a place like that in New Delhi ... they have those sweatshops
all over the place. And they are not treated very well. She had worked there in
2009 (so 3 years ago). I can't imagine much has changed. But that's what she did.
She was paid to register and post on a pre-defined list of blogs and forums. Also,
was instructed to make comments on lists of video sites, flickr, and whatever
social sites where popular in 2009. I should have her write an eBook about the
experience ... it's very interesting.

Sorry for posting on an old thread, but youtube views don't work like that.

The first 300 views for a video are counted per click (whether unique or similar, and the time watched can be less than a second) though only 25-30% can be your own (or the view count will be paused until the views reach the correct ratio).
After 300 views, the video must be watched 40-50% of the way with a 30 views maximum per IP. (If your video is 5 minutes long, the video must be watched for 2 minutes for the view to count).

If each video was 5 minutes and you had 10 videos, then they would need thousands of workers getting paid less than a penny per hour.
The person selling this server is bypassing youtube's view counter somehow, and it is against the youtube policy. Follow the rules in the terms of service instead of trying to cheat the system. Youtube has automated checks for view counts like this, and though they might not ban you, you will be put on a list of users with offences that cannot become partners or monetize from videos (especially if you are trying to get views with a provocative avatar).

If you want video views and subscribers, post on infrequently viewed channels and post "Nice channel man! I subbed to you, could you sub back?" Gaining subscribers is how your videos will gain views naturally.

Hope I helped you understand what service you are buying into,
Sammy12
