Okay, before I complete the installation. I've chosen the path C:\server\php to install the php and told it I wanted it to configure Apache and now it wants me to point to the directory containing the Apache configuration. I chose C:\server\apache\conf is that correct? or do I just point it to C:\server\apache?

Okay, here goes nothing. If I'm not back in 10 minutes it's because I've thrown my laptop across the room.

Haha I almost closed my eyes when I typed http://localhost but it does work now. Yay! Thank you thank you thank you.

Yes, it brought up the php version, system, build date, compiler, architecture and so on. Is that what you wanted to know?

Hey, I give credit where credit is due and you are the one that figured it out. Thank you again for the help. You were awesome.

I can't take credit for what you did, or Fou-lu figured out. Seriously, well done. You worked out you had the wrong PHP when Fou-lu picked it up as 'source'.
Great job all round.
Glad that you had a happy outcome and never had to throw your laptop at the wall ;-)
Users who have thanked leslie.jones for this post:
Okay, so the apache.org binaries should be ignored since they are compiled in VC6. But the new versions of PHP are only coming in VC9 from the looks of it.
You can download a new version of Apache from this page: http://www.apachelounge.com/download/
Use the Apache 2.2.22 version, not the 2.4.
Sorry I know that the thread has progressed a bit as well so you are further, but I got caught into fixing some stuff at work.
I'd check your apache build as well; VC9 versions should be used with the VC9 compiled apache 2.2.22, not the VC6 at apache.org.
Thank you and I'm glad I didn't have to throw it either. Now that I know what's wrong I can fix the problem on my desktop computer, too. I'm all smiles now. Thanks again, leslie.jones
