Arch says core i5 is i686 (32bit)

I am installing Arch on my laptop, and it says 'this kernal requires an x86-64 CPU, but only detected an i686 CPU'. My processor is a core i5, i have 4gb ram 500gb harddrive and windows 7 64 bit installed. Why is it saying its not 64bit when it clearly is?

Thankyou.
