Order to learn languages

Hi guys,

Just wanted to ask a general question about web development as I'm becoming increasingly frustrated at the moment and looking for a little advice.

I'm currently in my second year at university and find that were covering nothing in much detail and having various languages spoon fed to us which doesn't allow them to stick. Just when you start to understand the logic behind a language they introduce something else and you won't use the one thats been learnt for months allowing it to be forgotten.

I've been trying to enhance my knowledge from home but I'm not sure what order i should i learning the languages in. I understand HTML and CSS but anything other than that I can't construct myself. Here are the topics we've been covering at university...

JavaScript
jQuery
JSON
Ajax
ASP.NET
VB
LINQ to SQL

What order would you recommend i start learning these subjects in more depth?

Any help is appreciated

Thanks

jQuery, JSON, and Ajax are all parts of JavaScript so you'll need to learn JavaScript before them as otherwise you will be unable to see how they fit with the rest of JavaScript.

Each of the others are separate languages so the order doesn't matter.
