how to add "popup thoughts" to pictures?

I have seen those funny "popup thoughts" added to pictures with people in them. I dont know what you call it. Can this be done using Photoshop or other imaging software? thanks

Do you have a link to an example? I think you may be talking about a tooltip script?? Check this link.

Otherwise you can put cartoon like "thought ballons" into pics with photoshop or something similar.

The "thought balloons" would not be "pop-up" but permanently part of the pic. If you want it to "pop-up" the tooltip script is the way to go. A link to an example would clarify things alot.

If you want that to "pop-up" you would use that image in the tooltip script and when people mouseover the pic the balloon would "pop-up".

You would have to create or copy the image in photshop.

If you go to this link http://www.bosrup.com/web/overlib/features.html it shows you how to use the image as the background for the tooltip and then add the text for it.

Here's some software specifically desingned for creating thought balloons. I got it on my MAC for some unkown reason But this link is for a PC version
