Adding sidebar and formatting

Hello,

I just finished aligning my posts (thanks for the help!) and now I'm trying to add a sidebar. You can see page I want to add it to here: http://www.zoiology.com/category/blog/guides/

I'm not sure how to find the code or where to put it. Sorry, my coding knowledge is pretty limited but I'm not finding documentation on my theme's home site.

One other thing I'd also like to fix is the formatting. It seems to have been ruined during my other changes. Here is a link to the original theme and how the sidebar should look. Notice the dramatic difference in the way each widget displays the text. I'm not sure why mine is so crunched together and the other side is so nice.

Thanks again for the help!

For one thing ... your photos are much bigger, so how can fit the sidebar into the page?

Will your sidebar be only on the home/main page, or all other pages as well?
