How to Temporarily Disable port 80 - Server

Im newbie in apache
How to Temporarily Disable port 80 - Server?
For some reason, expample: maintain server or someones DDos.. I want Temporarily Disable all connection to server, how can i do that?
Any ssh command to do that?

Stop Apache, or use IPTables/other firewall to block access to port 80.
