large scale java examples

I am looking for some large java programs online that i can copy out and learn from.
All i can find are very small examples involving one or two classes.
I would really like to find some java examples that involve more than 5 classes that do something significant.
For example i recently found a connect4 game example.

Does anyone know of any examples that i can find online or any tutorials that allow you to work through creating a large java program.

Does anyone know of any tutorials online that will teach me how to program a simple game.

Im not just looking for someone's code, more a walk-through tutorial that i can follow and work through.

I can only find people's code with no explanation or code that is too simple.
