satish_j is an unknown quantity at this point
mysql_connect ignoring Hostname parameter

On a fresh install of WAMP,mysql_connect(called from PHP page)is using the full computer name for hostname parameter.Specifying manually other values have no effect.
phpinfo() lists 'Hostname:Port' as mycomputername:0 in one of the apache2handler.That same value is getting passed in mysql_connect.
Any ideas how to resolve so that it takes the value passed as parameter to it.
