Lightbulb progress loader Like flash needed

I need a progress meter like some flash movies have.
Can it be done in javascript?
Basically I have a site with some images that preload before entering a rotator script, I would like to indicate the progress for slow connections.

There are a ton of preloading images scripts available. Try some of these out.

Percentage Complete:
http://meddle.dzygn.com/v1/ex/PercentageBarLoader.html

Percentage Complete & Approx. Time Left
http://meddle.dzygn.com/v1/ex/TimeForecastLoader.html

Most advanced features:
http://meddle.dzygn.com/v1/preload.php

The last one is on a page that is in use, but the author states that they can be used freely. If you are looking for a more basic preloading page, check out Dynamic Drive and search for Preload Script. There will be two basic ones there.

Hope that helps.
