PowerPoint Slide Show not working from hyperlink on website

Hello,

I was sent a .pps file to store on our server and create a link in order for a customer to click on the hyperlink and the PowerPoint presentation would display automatically in a Slide Show. It seems everything I have tried has not worked.

I've tried all the following extensions none of which work:
.ppsx, .xps, .odp, .ppt, .ppsm

When I click directly on the file, it displays beautifully in slide show mode; however, once I create a hyperlink to it, it does not.

Is there a solution to this problem. I'd appreciate any help you can give me.

are you trying to get the powerpoint file to open in the browser or just as normal powerpoint file?

f through the web browser i would suggest looking at "slidey" its an online powerpoint program.

if through normal powerpoint then maybe trying to get rid of the "-" in the powerpoint name. I have a friend who has his working and his filename is all one word and then .ppt
