Do most viewers have flash installed.?

Just wondering. Is it pretty safe these days to use fllash on most websites? I know how some people say to stay away from it in case the user does not have flash installed. Just wondering if that is still really an issue? Thanks.

Depends on your target audience, if you think you'll get a lot of mobile visitors then the answer is no. If you do use Flash at least offer graceful degradation so the site is still usable. For some things Flash is really the only option and that is fine but I would stay away from it for things like menus which are pretty important.

Hi Buffmin,

If the your client doesn't has flash and tried to load you website the browser could indicate to him that a plugin need to be installed to the browser or you can include the URL of the flash installation in the site.

Regards,
