Suggestions for self teaching myself?

I'm a 47 y/o looking for a new career somewhere in computing. I bought my first computer 3 years ago and am now finding myself hugely interested in computer science. Recently I started trying to see if I could wrap my head around programming and I think I could learn.

Looking at everything is really overwhelming and trying to figure out where exactly I might fit in seems like a mystery. Systems Analyst seems like a great overall goal for me, haha think big right ? I gotta figure out where do I start, school is out of the question. I don't do to well with structured learning. I came to the conclusion learning C is probably the best starting point which is what I'm trying to do now, what other things should I be learning in parallel?

Any words of advice appreciated.

I'm going hardcore after this new career, getting a divorce seems like a logical place to do it. I'm going to rent a cheap centrally located room, get rid of car and ride a bicycle, get a non demanding job and spend my time and energy learning something entirely new.
