Custom Scroll Buttons

Hi,
I am building a website with a gallery, I want it to scroll horizontally rather than vertically with custom buttons, how do I do this? Everything my googling has turned up has been for vertical scrolling with text, not images. I don't mind how it is done, flash, javascript etc., which ever is the easiest.

Please could someone help me with this?

Thanks in advance,
Alex

There are so many choices here mate, you could spend hours getting lost in the world of slideshows. I think JQuery is the way to go. Usually downloadable and working out of the box, most can be easily customized.

Here is an example of one quick search. http://www.tn3gallery.com/ I think they charge for this particular one, but there are millions of free ones available, and i happen to have one exactly like this. If you like it let me know and i'll upload it for you.

Thanks for the tip and the issue with these slideshow/gallery ones is that its the thumbnails that I want in the middle and then the user clicks to enlarge over them, like light box, kinda, but with buttons to scroll left and right (because of the large amount of thumbnails I want it to scroll horizontally), instead of the image already showing.

Would you mind uploading it anyway, just so I can have a quick look, don't worry if its to much trouble.

Sorry if none of this is making sense.
