Form Data to PDF

firstly im new to web programming, i just have some basic knowledge in HTML...

and im facing this problem now... i need to create a web form, then save the data into the database and export it to pdf file... is it possible to do this??

right now in my mind i got 2 options to choose...

1. create a web based pdf form (im not sure whether this can be done) .. and then save the data to database and export the pdf file...

2. create a HTML web form and save all the data into database and find a library or API to export it to PDF file??

sorry that im newbie here.. i need some direction..

Thank you.

Not without using server-side language such as coldfusion, php, asp.net or the like.

Well I'm a bit biased, being a coldfusion guy and CF is way easier to learn, but php is free and a great server side to learn with tons of tutorials, free code and script and lots of community support.
