Assistance with SQL & PHP within Dreamweaver

Hi All,

I am having some real difficulties with Dreamweaver and PHP/SQL, I would love some assistance!

Brief overview:

I am not a coder; I have basic coding skills; I am doing this to help out a friend.

I have built a database using MySQL to store a bunch of organisations. It would be a very simple database (like one table!) except the organisations may have more than one location, or more than one service etc. therefore I have ended up with a database with 13 tables which looks like this:

What I want is for people to be able to click on a state they live in, and a list of all the types of services within that state to be displayed. Then when they select the type of service they want, a list of those services is displayed.

I am using Dreamweaver CS4 (as it is all I know) along with XAMPP to test it with. Funny enough, Dreamweaver is not playing nice with me.

I have created the first recordset and dynamic table to list all the states; that's the easy bit. I have named that location.php

I have then created a page called locationDisplay.php, and this is where it all falls down. I have started by creating really simple SQL statements just to test it, such as:

As you can see, when I test the page, it brings up nothing, only the two headings, no data.

Am I missing something really simple or is Dreamweaver playing up?

You assistance is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your help in advance. If you require any more information/screen shots in order to assist me, please let me know and I'll be happy to post it up.

Cheers!
