I need some help on the structural architecture of a portal that I'm making.
The portal would contain an arbitrary number of folders which would serve as a Sub Domain for ever subdomins has its own htaccess file to "point" to the parent folder, where the CodeIgniter framework is, which should take care of loading the right configuration files (pls refer: Managing your Applications, CI User Guide).
Inside the parent folder should contain individual php files to correctly path the right applications. Sounds simple here.
Unfortunately, it don't work out well when I'm running acme_company.portal.com as CI always give me 404 notice on the existing htaccess below.
