Post How To Do A Mobile Redirection Professionally

It has come to my attention the nubmer of people who do not know how to do a proper mobile redirection.

When I saw Philip's comment in this thread: http://www.codingforums.com/showthread.php?t=145163 I decided I needed to share my knowledge on the matter.

You can absolutely (Im correcting Philips answer here) redirect mobile browsers 99.27% of the time using a simple php script placed at the top of your index page.

I use the script from: http://detectmobilebrowsers.mobi/
I've used it for about a year now, and as long as you update the WAP list, then the % of mobile browsers redirected to the mobile site sucessfully will increase.

If anyone has any questions about this post it below.

redirects are bad; everyone should use the same url for the same thing; that's cool.

since one can make a page that works everywhere, why maintain two sites?
