Exclamation rcRedirectIndexFileDirRoot -9

Any one know what this means (rcRedirectIndexFileDirRoot -9) and were it comes from.
Deicide to have a go at some basic web design, got a domain and hosting package, started having a bit of a play with it, put a few sites up (main domain and sub domains) did the site maps, submitted them to Google, they got listed, got to say they weren’t doing bad in climbing up the rankings, so my seo wasn’t bad, then it all went bad, Google started to say (Not Followed Redirect Error) I don’t use redirects, I wouldn’t know how to, so started to take a closer look at my sites and did some scans. The R.Codes on my pages were returning a 200 witch I know is normal but my index pages were coming up with (rcRedirectIndexFileDirRoot -9) had plenty of chats with the Google forum but am non the wiser, all their bothered about is its not their fault, had a few chats to my host provider because I thought they might be up to something but they deny any knowledge of it, so am stumped, I removed all the sites and put a totally blank one up just to make sure I hadn’t put something in the coding by accident. Same problem, so I deleted everything in my online folder, all except one file witch wont let me delete it or let me access it, don’t know were it came from, asked my host provider but still waiting for a answer, so any help please, this is all a bit over my head and any help or hints as to witch direction I should take would be gratefully received, thanks

You keep leaving out fairly essential information, such as what the file is called, how the error manifests and what your domain name is.

A quick google turned up with this:
http://www.microsystools.com/product...esponse-codes/
(I'm unsure why you didn't do that)

It seems that A1 Website Analyser thinks some of your pages are duplicate. How A1 fits into it I don't know, but your account isn't, for the above reasons, that full.

Question

I use this (A1 sitemap generator 3.2.4-Pro Edition) to scan the site for errors it dose the w3c for the html and css plus makes the site maps and robot txt, when I use it, it says r-code 200 on the other pages then rcRedirectIndexFileDirRoot -9 on the index page, in my Google dashboard it says (Not Followed Redirect Error) I presume they are both on about the same thing, as you can see I removed all the site content just to see if I had done something wrong, but it still says it in the software, haven’t resubmitted it yet to Google because am not sure how it would react to a blank page,
As for (.membership (file Type MEMBERSHIP FILE) Permissions adfrw(0755) my provider says they cant see it so its not their, when I use the file manager they gave me I cant see it, but when I use filezilla ftp it is their, to see if it was to do with filezilla I used core ftp and it is their again, is it possible that the ftp software puts it their when it makes the connection then removes it when it disconnects, just having a wild guess on that

It looks like you've massively overreacted. Put the files back and leave them there.

Then, check your index page like this:
http://www.google.com/support/webmas...&answer=158587

If your page comes back with HTTP 200/OK, then you're fine. If it's resulting in a redirect loop, post back here and we'll try to fix it.

.members is probably something related to your host; you don't need to delete it.
