FOWD 2011, need advice for newbie

I help maintain my company's website and am trying to learn more about HTML & CSS among other things. I have about a 1 yrs worth of web design experience and was wondering if the Future of Web Design conference is right for me or will it be too intense. I always want to learn more stuff just dont know what I will be getting myself into with this conference.

Skip the conference, take some online or community college courses instead. You need instruction from a teacher who can answer your questions 1-on-1. Conferences are not about learning (imo).

Business innovation

I think you need to create you site with what you have as materials, cause if you look to next generation you'll be always as follower.

In contrast you could learn and prepare yourself for next generation's features and performance but carefully..
