Making transparent

Can anyone help me make these transparent? I use Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo XI and can't make it work, maybe a photograph guru can do it quickly?

Both of these are my creators, I am the owner and maker. I can try to get a higher res picture if it needs to be.

Thanks

Did one, but not sure it is as good as you want:

This one was feathered and sharpened:

Maybe you can use Corel to clean them up better to your taste.

That's roughly how good mine came out as well. Thank you, I think it'd be better to change the background color to white, and have it higher res, would you agree?

Yes. The shadow under the images makes it look good with a colored background, but trying to remove it leaving the knife image only was hard because of left over remnants. Plus, the blue was not all once shade so I probably mis-used a few tools trying to remove it. :P

Might could do it with an all white and no shadowing. Sorry I wasn't much help. Tried the other image, too. Even worse. lol

What about this one? It's not 3D but could be used as a shadow, I never got around to finishing it.

I need 45 pixel high by 125 pixels long, fully transparent and one mirrored.

Every time I try to do it, it looks awful.

This is first one. I just cropped the image so you can resize it to what you need. Remeber to maintain the aspect ratio.

Left side:

Mirrored:

Combined (just for funsies):
