Welcome to the "Web Projects" forums. Before you post, make sure you've selected the correct category based on the size of your project (in US dollars), or whether it is a partnership or "looking for work" request instead. Observe the guidelines for this section:
To all thread starters, check your "pm" box for responses, as that's how bidders will be communicating with you mainly using. You can turn on new pm notification by going to "User CP"-> "Edit Options"-> "Receive Email Notification of New Private Messages".
To respondents, avoid replying to a thread with a short generic response like "pm sent" as much as possible. It is pointless and clutters up the screen.
To respondents, don't reply to a work request with a summary of your resume. If you're not willing to spend the time to at least read the request and respond specifically to the request, then don't reply. The Web Projects forum isn't a place to get your resume/ portfolio posted on as many threads as possible, it's for the direct, human interaction between coder and client. Members who blanket the forums with their resume replies will be treated as spammers and banned.
To all thread starters, please update your thread's prefix to "resolved", when you've found a coder for your project or partnership (or wish to terminate the request). This is so coders don't waste time bidding on an invalid project. To do this, click on the "Edit" button under the first post of the thread, then the "Go Advanced" button. You have 14 days to update your thread's title.
I already work for SIR SLASH and his team. I'm the javascript coder, and the site we are developing looks amazing. It just requires a php coder so we can finish and complete by September.
I'm a student and have a pretty good base in PHP as well as work experience. I'm also quite interested in gaming which should be a bonus. I do need to know some more details though, some of which Fou-Lu has already asked for.
Perhaps we could chat through skype, google-talk or e-mail?
Its not coding the actual game, its its more like a site where ppl can meet other ppl and clans to play some of games that already exist, against each other. THere wont be any other php developers since the project can be done by only 1 man, the code shouldnt be hard, so the progressing will be fast... some databases are already done, more info on that on PM... and yes the business plan is completed, the website is almost fully designed, we are just lacking the PHP coder to do the functionality
Okay, so just a fan / clan type site. That itself is not an overly big project.
Sounds like the UML and sequencing has yet to be done, and the database is not complete, so no functionality currently exists. This would indicate that a single PHP developer will be acquiring between 75% - 90% of the overall workload on the completed site, yet the standing offer is a 15% of potential profits.
Thanks, I think I'll take a pass.
That's fine, i told you already, your not what we are looking for. We want someone who likes to work as part of a team and 15% is a very generous offer!
