.htaccess issues with godaddy one click WP install?

Bit random this but has anyone here had a bad experiecne with WordPress and .htaccess -

Usually they are NOT meant to conflict but the 5 minute install of GoDaddy WP is beconing a 55 hour install....

I guess manual install is the best solution - has anyone else expereicned this?

I don't use the one-click installer. I've had problems with the one Parallels uses before. The "manual" install is all of 2 steps, so it's not super complicated and it's quick, so I go that route.
