I was wondering if I could get some feedback on this layout. The content you see (like the opening paragraph) is not the final content its just there for asthetics so I could get a feel for it. Its just basically a load of crap !!
The one thing im not sure about is the graphics above the menus. I may change them to one complete graphical image which stretches across all the boxes.
I may be fairly new here, but from what I've been reading on elsewhere in these forums, you can expect some complaints about the fact that your layout is done with tables. However, it displays well in IE6. Appearance-wise, it looks like what I would consider a fairly typical example of a small business web-page, simple, straight-forward. It clearly shows what you want it too, and the layout is neat and precise. Graphically it works.
Personally, I would do-away with the .gif images on your menu... you can achieve the same effect with styles without having to load the graphic, just use the onMouseOver event to change the background color of the cell instead of swapImage.
Also, your text is rather light, and hard to see against the white background. Perhaps make the text darker or modify the background so that it stands out. As is, I have to squint to read it. You should probably increase the font size to 12px too, since smaller screens will make 10px way too small.
