Artistic Newb Want Web Help

Hi! I know some 3ds max, photoshop, paint shop pro, and poser, but i dont know a thing about website development.i have read that using HTML one can make web pages on something like notepad and thats great.I have art that could be used for a website, but how do i get the art into a website. For example: Say i have a simple animation of the inside of a church including some simple candelabras for lighting(a looping animation). Then say i want to make that animation the actual background of the website. What would i do.Im just looking for direction since im just a high school student. The cheap and tech way is what i would prefer.I dont want something thats going to make s it for me but in an unoriginal way.I want to use my own art. And lastly. Now that I have my website, i would like to also make some clickable buttons that are really tiny animations, but that when clicked can call another web page with text or text and jpegs.Or maybe they can call a thumbnail gallery.Any help sorely appreciated. Some guy i spoke to wants to charge me 3500 to teach me how to make a website. All i really want is a start so i can use my art. Thanks any help will be scrutinized with zeal.
