It is beneficial if the text of the link is not what you are targeting, like don't put a title tag with the same text as in the anchor text, as it is redundant. Also, I believe the title is not as efficient at targeting as the text, but it is better than nothing if you can't reasonably use the keyword(s) in the anchor as well.

Just like with all SEO advice, nothing is 100% certain, the best we can do sometimes is speculate.

Yeah i know,
i was just seeing peoples views on it, i have a client and most of their competitors do it to their own domian.

like the example above but they put the keyword what they are ranking high in in the title tag in the a tag.

but they dont do it on no other links...

was just seeing if anybody is doing it beocuse i couldnt find a topic on here what explains anything about it.

any other ideas and answers what be great

That is normal practice, typically you want to figure out what pages you want to rank for what keywords, and then use anchor tags, with titles if needed, to include those keywords. You can also add some variation to it to seem a little more natural as well, so you don't all of a sudden have 1000 links all with the same title that looks like it was planned.

Yeah,
its i just don't want google crawling the site and going "hey, looks a bit fishy this....looks like a link farm" but then again you need at least 200 links with same keyword i guess.

just playing it safe and posting it on here to see what you pros are saying

i understand alot about seo, just when i came accorss the title tag in the a tag i was like eh?

You can use title tags within your site everywhere, there is no harm with that I believe. It only can become an issue if you use it extensively with the same keywords externally of the site, then it becomes fishy.
