500 Internal Server Error

Hi,

I'm having problems with couple of php scripts that used to work just fine. No alterations were made in weeks, then this started appearing as the result of data antered and submitted:

Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@yourexample.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Any thoughts on why this may be occuring?

Thanks!

Possibly a server reset or an admin has changed the permissions on some of your directories.

I'm a newbie, so many things confuse me often. I didn't modify such file. No activity really, it just dosen't works like it used to do.

By admin, do you mean a person working for my hosting company? That would make more sense, and if this is indeed true I'd need to ask them how to go around this.

Yes. If you have made no changes it is likely a problem with the web server configuration. You said this was isolated to a few pages?
