Slide Question in Jquery

Hi i have a question regarding Jquery Slide methods

Suppose i have a table there are 6 Columns in 1 Row and there are 10 Rows

when any column is clicked, it should disappear all the columns behind it should come one column ahead.

Please help me im new to jquery, and badly needed this help :cry:

Can you explain this in a little more detail?

So you've got 6 columns. Click any cell in... say, column four... and columns five and six slide left so they're next to column three? Is that what you mean? Should the column be temporarily hidden or permanently removed?
