Script installation (php)to get secure download
I am a woman with a numerate background from long ago but now I find I have difficulty obtaining goods and services such as collaborating with others because of a technical /scientific interest. For one thing, there seems to be a great desire to make women get interested in these topics, plus I hear nothing but praise about women from technical men while these men want me to look for women to give me the technical support while they themselves seem to ostracise me.
I am sorry for going somewhat off topic and hope I dont get struck off altogether for this. I merely wish I could be heard and understood.
I have bought a software, which is a folder with files written in PHP which is for creating secure downloads. I have not been able to complete the installation based on the instruction sheet even though I have created a MYSQL data base and done CHMOD=777 to a particular file. and installed the software in a suitable folder but I dont know PHP - I knowsome HTML and javascript. So basically I don't properly understand what I am doing, but basically all that is left to be done is the link the database to the software folder, a 2-minute operation for someone who properly understands what what they are doing. I am hoping for someone to help me do this simple operation for free or for a small fee, which is my first goal. Next iis to explain the terms and how one goes about learning script installation-if someone has ideas on this matter I will gratefully appreciate
