menu not working on mobile

Can anyone tell me why my drop down menu on http://www.countyfairgrounds.net - not work on my blackberry storm
This is html5 and one of the reasons I am learning it is so that I have it on my website and see it on mobile devices. Well I can see the page fine and it resized fine by the way. But the drop down menu doesn't work.

ah, okay, actually the buttons without drop downs work. So do you have an idea of what to recommend?

You will have to re-think your layout. Make each of these;
Blogs
Post Info
Find Fair Stuff
Media
Nationwide Events
Site Stuff
Store
Website Design
A link to a main or default page. Eg The actual "Blogs" link could lead you to "Main blog" with a side menu of each of the other blogs. If that makes sense? Sometimes I don't make sense.

Thanks - that is a thought

my drop down javascript is working on the front page - the one that drops down each state page.
I get what you are saying in the comments you made - this is a big site and that will be a lot of work
I am thinking I could make a separate mobile site - Certainly I can now with the html5 and a simpler menu - I was however hoping to use html5 to convert all 450 pages of the current website to mobile. But now I get it - the menu will not work. And I have not even tried video yet. Do you know anything about that? What format to use?

Wow, that is a lot of pages. Unfortunately if you want a site guaranteed to work cross-platform you need to not rely on any hover classes(as we now know), javascript, or html 5. HTML 5 isn't even standardised for computers yet, let alone mobile devices. I've noticed a lot of css will go screwy on a mobile, it's has to be basic. I've seen plenty of tutorials around the net on doing the css for mobiles...but it will still leave you with the problem of changing that menu layout to work for them :/

thanks

I have been thinking about this all day. I have decided to make a mobile site by itself at http://www.countyfairgrounds.com - which is nowpointed into http://www.countyfairgrounds.net . We started as a .net. Actually however, the html5 looked great on the blackberry with the exception of the menu and the banner rotator on the front page. It resized great. I suspect cause my html5 is fairly simple and being validated I might actually get away with it. The basic idea was to learn and use html5 cause it is suppose to resize for mobile. Anyway I will leave it online and make a specific mobile site for now... as it is its going to take awhile. However, once I have a template for the state pages it will go faster. Thanks for letting me vent ... tis a lot of work.
