My first site

ok so I worked on learning HTML CSS and Wordpress for the last couple of months this is what I came upwith and put it on the web. This is basically the extent of what I learned so far and applyed it to my own website. I decided to put it online before it was 100% because I want any visitors I get to note my improvments. Maybe I rushed it alittle bit but read the first post to find out what I'm trying to go for here (if your interested)

All the code on the page I put together myself researching CSS and Wordpress was no easy task for a noobie but its all me, I didn't get anything from any premade templates. Now I know that its pretty bad right now but judging me on having zero knowlege of css or wordpress prior to this what comments does anyone have for what I've put together so far.

I think it's shaping up nicely considering your very new to coding.

Not sure if you're planning, but site logos are a key component to creating a nice looking site. I'm not that good at that either, but might be something to address early on.

It looks way to plain. You should add a better banner, and add borders to your navigation bar. also maybe change the blue on the sites to white, or make a scrolling background for it. Maybe make the content box smaller?

yea I think i'm going to change the wrapper to 1024px because I read somewhere that a common screen resolution is 980px or something like that... mine is alot larger thats why its at 1200px as for the header I know I need one but I suck at logos but I should be adding one this week because I guy I work with is a graphic artist and is going to help with the graphics on the site..Its not 100% because I wanted visitors to notice improvments on the site the whole theme of the site is when I learn something I explain what I learned...

and I still want to orginize my content better and style it a little more as well as add widgets to the sidebar
