Expand/collapse issue in IE8

Hi Guys,

I have a table with 8 columns. And one of the column header has a collapse/Expand button. I also have the expand and collapse button for each row at item level in the table. If I clicks on this button in the header all the rows of the table gets expanded. If I want to expand the specific row at item level I can go and expand it at the row level. The particular row alone get expanded in the table. When the page renders all the rows in the table will be in collapse state. If the user want it to expand he will go and click on the collapse button either on the header or item level in table.

When the page renders in IE6, IE7 all the rows of the table would be in collapse state, but when I run the browser in IE8 the rows of all the table is getting expanded all the way till bottom of the page. It doesn’t look neat. I want the rows of the table to be in collapse state when the page gets rendered.
The above scenario works perfectly for me in IE6, IE7 and it doesn’t work in IE8. If I run the browser in Compatibility mode it is running perfectly fine. Since the compatibility mode renders the page in IE7 so it is working fine. Is there any workaround to get the table rows to be collapse when the page renders to the user. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

Thanks and Regards,
Saro
