Question Margin Bottom/Top and Mysterious White Line in IE8-

I have been trying to figure out how to fix these issues in IE8 and below, but I don't know. I've tried every hack possible, but nothing works.

What I'm trying to fix is on the index page, the divs which hold a picture are supposed to have a line that is 66px in between each of the boxes so when the user scrolls over each of them, it will create a "cropped" version of the picture.

Then, when you go into the inside pages, there is somehow a mysterious white line above the links. When you get to the galleries page, it somehow gets pushed down a lot more for no reason.

The website works perfectly in Mozilla Firefox, Safari, and Chrome. Any help is appreciated!

Here is the website:

It's not worth to fight with display issues before fixing the errors in your markup

Are you talking about the page at
http://gds.parkland.edu/student/fall...galleries.html ?

If so, set a dark background color to the <li> and anchors in the menu.

Okay I will definitely fix the validations first and then work on figuring out why it's doing this in IE.

As for the comment about this page:
http://gds.parkland.edu/student/fall...galleries.html

This is the page where the navigation menu gets pushed down along with all the inside pages have a white line on-top. I was wondering how I could possibly fix the navigation on the galleries page so that it gets pushed up to the same position?

Put that <ul> before <a> inside navigation-div, in the markup order.
