Graphics Tablet

My birthday is coming up and I wanted to ask for a good graphics tablet, but wasnt sure what exactly to ask for. Any ideas would be most appreciated. This will mainly be used in photoshop if that makes a difference.

I was after one a while ago, I was told by quite a few people that Wacom ones were the best. They seem to have a range of models/prices.

I'd have thought so yes. Pressure sensitivity is probably pretty useful in Photoshop. Of concern for me would be the active area (3.65" x 5") which for my own uses would probably be too small, but my uses would be drawing curves and tracing, more than drawing on screen or touching up images etc.

a tablet shouldnt affect your computer a whole bunch. in my experiences the wacom tablets dont slow down your comp more than photoshop normally does. no difference really in effiency if you use one.
