www.hotscripts.com look in the PHP installation tutorials, there are a few wich tell you how ton install a WAMP(windows, apache, php, mysql) server. otherwise, get abyss from www.aprelium.com its easier to use by far than apache. now for the ip, are you sure you have a staic ip? well even if you don't you could try www.no-ip.com or www.dyndns.com which lets you have a personal webserver with a subdomain.

check if your web server is up first by going to 127.0.0.1 thats your local adress and will always work if the server's up. di your isp say static or dynamic then?

Yeah, my server is going on 127.0.0.1 . I can access it on my computer no matter what Ip I change it to. I do have a linksys router, so im assuming dynamic. My computers IP is 192.168.1.104 , and that works on my computer, then my linksys is 68.112.70.177 , and that worked 4 me, and localhost works, and so does 127.0.0.1 , I think the port my stuff is running on is port 80 . Ill check.
This is what the Abyss Web Server thing says
Quote:
Abyss Web Server [Running]
Server Port: 80 - Console Port: 10000
Web server local URL: http://127.0.0.1/
Console local URL: http://127.0.0.1:10000/

My ISP is charter, and I just read the papers and stuff, it says Multiple IP: No , Then where it says Network Settings: Dynamic . If I want a static, do I just call them at customer service and ask for a static IP?

Edit:

Sorry, I still don't get anything...

To get a static IP, you will need to be on broadband. If you are on broadband, you will need to contact your isp to have a static ip, this might cost you more money a month

Okay, I am on broadband, so ill go ahead and call my isp then. Thanks...

Man, my ISP is really confusing! They made me answer all these questions and crap, I guess trying to make sure im not starting up a webserver for a business, and now their making me wait forever just to get the price for a static IP! So, Im just sitting here....waiting....

But dont I still need a static IP for no-ip? Cuz my IP is 68.112.70.177 . And nobody could view it.... And, wouldnt it still be the same thing If I signed up with no-ip and used that IP?

And dyndns.com isnt free either, so I might as well pay an extra 10 bucks a month.
