Question IE8 Position:Absolute and Overflow issues just popped up.

Hey guys, got a very weird issue. One of my sites, http://richardsonautocare.com was put online just a few months back, and I tested it in IE, FF, Chrome, and Safari. Of course it worked fine in all.

Just got a call this morning, asking why the pages don't scroll in IE8. It seems all of a sudden, IE has quit putting scroll bars in my content area. However, it still scrolls fine in every other browser.

Odd that this just popped up all of a sudden, maybe some IE update? I've tried adding the IE 7 Emulate META tags to no avail.

Anyone see the issue, or an easy workaround (besides simply convincing the entire world to finally dump IE and install firefox)?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Rob

Smile

Found a fix.....

Had a comment inserted above the DOCTYPE, apparently this forces Quirks mode.

So no matter how many times I tried to change the DOCTYPE, that comment was killing my efforts. Removed unnecessary comments from code, and page works as it should.
