I want to make a new tech news website

I want to make a tech news website. I have general knowledge in HTML, CSS, and JS. But never programmed anything for real, so I can say I know these, but I have 0 experience.

My question is, what does it take to make a tech news website like Anandtech.com or Fudzilla.com?

Please give me as much information as possible. I'm ready to use some already written code to make life easier. Please tell about all the options I have.

Thank you

PS: I've asked the same question on two other websites, but they don't seem to be really active.

It's not like I want to copy other websites, but I have 0 experience and I want to get this website up as soon as possible, so I maybe want to use some already written code (not in a specific website,) and tweak it.

How about using a template? And how is a site like fudzilla.com made?

It takes time to create a tech news site but if you have zero knowledge then I prefer you to start using wordpress, in this way you will be able to create a tech site quickly. Then share the posts using rss.

Coding the website isn't going to be the hard part. There are a million tech news sites out there, what is yours going to do differently that will make people want to visit your site? That and actually adding content regularly is going to be a fair bit of work.

I'm not trying discourage you in the least, just pointing out some other stuff you should also be thinking about.

As for adding content regularly, I'm ready to dedicate the time for that.
But, yes, I don't have the qualifications to be better than others. I don't have anything special. And moreover, I don't have the ability to fly to CES and so and make reviews and so.

But what other options do I have? What website can I make other than a tech website?

It will be more easier too if you use web builders also like joomla, wordpress or drupal. As a beginner, I suggest you try studying wordpress then set up your start up blog, then proceed to joomla or drupal next time.

Thanks.
