Can't seem to get firefox to center my text.

IE centers my text fine but Firefox dose not seem to be able to do it.

I would as well like to be able to center it in the vertical position if this is possible.

I have tried several different CSS methods I found here and there but none have seemed to be able to do the job.

I don't really care how I get my text to center. I was using tables as part of the solution but if someone knows of a way of avoiding using tables to be able to get the same result by all means show me how.

And btw, using tables for layout is considered stupid

As a workaround for your current design you can just remove the width of your table to get it working under Firefox. But I recommend you get it done the table-less way before going live.
